Most people have childhood memories that involve a house, their school, their classmates, Lego blocks and what not. Sure, I had all of those, but thanks to my Lonely Planet loving, writer father, I grew up playing with my Lego blocks in the backseat of his car. We would set off on one journey or another every single time any of us had a day off.
It might sound cliched, but travel shaped my personality, and made me what I am today. I’ve been going around the world ever since I was a kid and I have accumulated my own share of travel tricks and hacks that have vastly improved by experience in the countries I’ve been to, while at the same time making life so much easier for me.
